Edwards Lifesciences — ACC 2026, New Orleans

march 27—30, 2026

Taking this project on the road to New Orleans made ACC 2026 an entirely different creative experience. Working away from my home market meant planning every detail in advance, from sourcing and mechanics to installation logistics. I had the opportunity to work with the local Mayesh team and experience some genuine Southern hospitality along the way.

Before ever touching a flower, I mapped the installations digitally in Canva, working through scale, placement, and overall composition. From there, the designs evolved as I tested the mechanics and figured out how to translate the concepts into installations that could be executed efficiently on site.

For New Orleans, I wanted to bring in a sense of place without losing the clean, elevated aesthetic of the Edwards Lifesciences brand. Spanish moss introduced an organic, slightly bayou-inspired texture, balanced by modern vessels, strong shapes, and a restrained approach that kept everything polished and corporate.

Anthurium became an intentional recurring element throughout the designs. Their natural heart shape was a subtle reference to Edwards Lifesciences and its work in structural heart innovation—allowing the flowers themselves to connect back to the heart of the company.

One of my favorite details was the café installation, which I designed in the shape of a Louisiana boot. It was a playful nod to the location that still felt sophisticated enough to live within the larger branded environment.

This project was an exercise in designing with both brand and place in mind—bringing a little New Orleans character into a corporate installation while keeping the final result unmistakably Edwards Lifesciences.
